Anahita Sanjana was led to the Mother and Sri Aurobindo in the year 1997. Since 2001 she has been teaching yoga as an ICSE subject at
the J B Petit School, Mumbai and from 2005 to 2023 she taught yoga at the
Bombay International School as a co-curricular subject.
Anahita has been bringing teenagers to Pondicherry and Auroville on yoga camps three to four times a year and holds interactive discussions based on the works of Sri Aurobindo on Saturday evenings at the Sri Aurobindo Centre in Mumbai.
In 2014 she was given the Outstanding Educator award by
University of Chicago for the work she has done with her school students.
In 2015 she was invited to speak at a Tedx talk on the reasons why yoga should be introduced to the youth.
She is currently the Youth Coordinator of the Sri Aurobindo Society(Mumbai).
She has recently published a book
called Yoga for Young Minds, based on the std. 10 Yoga ICSE curriculum, in which esoteric concepts are presented to the youth in practical and contemporary terms.
She conducts annual online Teachers Training for Yoga teachers on behalf of the ICSE board.
