Sri Krishna revealed the secrets of Radha in his own playful, undogmatic ways. But a world obsessed with structures and old spiritual frameworks either remains closed to the Divine Delight or distorts it through vital ugliness or rigid perceptions. So, for a long time, Radha’s Supreme Power remained veiled and unexpressed.
In the Consciousness of Sri Aurobindo, Radha is a Revolutionary Power belonging to the Supramental World, and supporting the works of all other Divine Powers. She is both Immortal Love and Ananda. She is the fifth Personality of the Divine Mother. The Power to transform the body is also Hers. She cannot be fully understood through the Puranas and Tantra. It is in Krishna’s (or Sri Aurobindo’s) Consciousness that we can experience what True Integrality and Synthesis are. Radha is that Supreme Synthesis - fully and spontaneously felt when self-effort too is surrendered in love for the Supreme.
This portion of Sri Aurobindo's Consciousness can be recovered in a Sadhak’s consciousness with the help of His ever-present Grace. It can be experienced within that Radha’s Power is a bridge between yesterday and tomorrow, the material and the spiritual, the vertical and the horizontal, the inner and the outer. Like Krishna, she too represents eternal progress. She is here to manifest fully and save humanity. What, then, does it mean to integrally open ourselves to her Flow?
“...for her to be able to settle and act down here, she needed to meet with at least a minimum of receptivity, to find at least one human being having the requisite qualities in the vital and physical nature, a kind of super-Parsifal endowed with a spontaneous and integral purity, but at the same time having a strong and balanced body in order to bear the intensity of the Ananda she had brought without giving way.”
