After the March 2025’s soulful lecture-demonstration programme ‘Sangeet Sandhya’ focusing on Hindustani Classical Music, the BhāratShakti department received several requests for arranging more such musical programmes. We are happy to announce that on May 5, 2026, we will be organising another musical programme, focusing this time on Sufiyana devotional music.

The great Indian Sufi-musician Hazrat Inayat Khan, who had met the Mother in 1912, in his work titled The Mysticism of Sound and Music wrote, “. . . music is the language of beauty, the language of the One whom every living soul has loved. And we can understand that, if we realize and recognize the perfection of all this beauty as God, our Beloved, then it is natural that this music, which we see in art and in the whole universe, should be called the Divine Art.”

A group of artistes from Sri Aurobindo Ashram Music Department will be performing. The performance details are being coordinated by Mrs. Deepshikha Reddy.
