Greetings!

Hope you have been enjoying the latest edition of Renaissance Redux quarterly.

This issue features the Mother’s explanation of how we may become open to the working of the new Supramental Consciousness. Nolini Kanta Gupta speaks of Sri Aurobindo Ashram as the golden temple of the Mother Divine; and Shobha Mitra’s account opens us to a profound lesson in humility.

We also hope you are enjoying the second issue of our bi-annual publication, The Best of Sri Aurobindo Circle, which was released on February 1.

PAST WORKS

February 2026 was a busy month for us - with an International Conference, a workshop for the youth, and several invited lectures.

BhāratShakti, Sri Aurobindo Society (Pondicherry) was a collaborating institution for a recently concluded 4-day

International Conference on Discovery and Application of Vedic Knowledge. Hosted at the beautiful campus of AURO University, Surat, from February 12 to February 15, 2026, the conference organisational work was led by Auro University in collaboration with several institutions including Sri Aurobindo Integral Life Center (Surat), La Grace Sri Aurobindo Integral Life Center (South Carolina, USA), Brhat Foundation (India), AuroChit (USA), and SAKSHI Trust (Bengaluru).

The detailed planning work for the conference started six months prior to February 2026 through a process of several online meetings and discussions. In all these meetings Dr. Beloo Mehra, Director, BhāratShakti played an important role, sharing ideas, inputs and overall structure and flow of the conference.

In addition to chairing two important sessions during the Conference, Dr. Mehra also delivered two keynote addresses:

In her talk, Dr. Mehra explored the immense contribution of Swami Dayananda Saraswati through the discerning lens of Sri Aurobindo. She highlighted that Sri Aurobindo has spoken high  ly of Swami Dayananda Saraswati’s pivotal role in the Indian Renaissance. He regarded Swami Dayananda as one of the most powerful figures of a transformative era in Indian history, distinguished by his confident fusion of spiritual vision with pragmatic action—a unique ‘spiritual practicality’.

In this talk, Dr. Mehra explored the Vedic foundations of Integral Education through a close study of Sri Aurobindo’s and the Mother’s insights on human development, consciousness, and the formation of a heroic character.

Dr. Mehra was invited to deliver several talks during her visit to Gujarat, including A.B. Patel Memorial Lecture.

On February 17, 2026, Dr. Beloo Mehra, Director, BhāratShakti was invited to a special lecture at the annual Human Resource Development week (HRD) at the head office of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) in Anand, Gujarat. NDDB is an institution of national importance created by an Act of Parliament of Govt. of India. Set up under the visionary leadership of Dr. Verghese Kurien in 1965, its committed team continues the great work in the spirit of excellence, innovation, and ethical nation-building.

Sri Aurobindo helps us understand culture as a soul-mind-body complex through which a people’s collective consciousness is expressed. What is the place of art in this view of culture, and how does Art help us know a culture and a nation? These and other related questions were explored as part of a recently concluded workshop for the youth of Sardar Patel University at Vallabh Vidyanagar (VVN) in Gujarat.

The workshop content was prepared by Dr. Beloo Mehra who was also the key facilitator for 5-hour-long workshop. Dr. Rajeshwari Singh, President of Sri Aurobindo Sadhana Kendra was the key coordinator of the workshop from SASK, Vallabh Vidyanagar.
