We are happy to release today the first issue of Volume 2 of the Renaissance Redux, BhāratShakti’s quarterly journal that features some of our cherished selections from the voluminous Renaissance journal which entered the seventh year of its publication in January 2026.

The present issue of Renaissance Redux features the Mother’s explanation of how we may become open to the working of the new Supramental Consciousness. Nolini Kanta Gupta speaks of Sri Aurobindo Ashram as the golden temple of the Mother Divine; and Shobha Mitra’s account opens us to a profound lesson in humility.

The month of February also brings the second issue of our bi-annual publication, The Best of Sri Aurobindo Circle. On February 1, we released the second issue of Volume 1 of The Best of Sri Aurobindo Circle. The issue curated by Dr. Beloo Mehra features an essay titled Sri Aurobindo and Indian Aesthetics by Sisirkumar Ghose. This essay was first published in the 1968 issue of Sri Aurobindo Circle. 

Ghose emphasises that Sri Aurobindo has not merely theorised about the deeply subjective and spiritual tradition of Indian aesthetics, but through his spiritual poetry he has actually renewed this sanatana tradition and made it a living truth for the modern sensibility. He gives specific examples of Sri Aurobindo’s poems as examples of the Indian aesthetic vision as reflected in Sri Aurobindo’s literary work.
