Dr. Uma Narayanan, a facilitator and coach, holds a Ph.D. from IIT Madras in Positive Psychology & Organisational Behaviour. She worked in Ford, for a decade, finally as Manager, Learning & Development (India & Asia Pacific). A Director at People First since 2016, she heads the Learning & Organisational Development solutions.
She was instrumental in shaping the ‘Being Advantage’ division in 2020 which focuses on Mindful Heartfulness, Inner Strengths self-awareness tools, Insight cards. She offers regular sessions on Mindful Heartfulness, inwardly calm and personal transformation sessions (individually and as groups) apart from her leadership development programmes and offsites. She is one of the key facilitators for coaching with depth retreats and certification. A trustee in EYES Trust, she anchors Integral Education initiatives on holistic development for students, opening educators and parents on nourishing the inner rhythms of the young people.
Uma’s approach is like a ‘mirror’ through a transformative space. She believes in ‘The source that lies within’. An ardent learner, she is passionate about individual change and transformation, that is positive, holistic and aligned to one’s unique self and rhythm.

Course Focus
This short course will help you to become aware of the 8 different parts of your inner self and the play of its strengths and limitations. These have been culled out from the works of Integral Yoga – the 8 Parts of the Being are the Physical, Sensory Enjoyment, Dynamic Energy, Emotional Care, Objective Mind, Creative Mind (Idea-Force), Integrative Mind and Deeper Self (points to both the Psychic in the Cave of the Heart and the Consciousness above the Head).
These sessions will support you to:
- Become aware of each part of being directly and experientially
- Do tiny practices for the purification and fine-tuning of each part
- Detect our dominant parts and balance it with others
- Be fluid to flow from one part of being to another, based on inner resonance and life demands
The work supports a universal language and application of this integral approach into our daily life, work and interactions. It is designed to support self-awareness, inner-mapping and crafting tiny practices that nourish our Being. It will help us to reflect based on our contexts, what parts of being support us, what is stuck, and where we open up to enable flow.

- We shall learn to create moment-to-moments shifts in our own inner resourcefulness – tapping into the richness of each of the parts of our Being
