Based on readings from Sri Aurobindo’s
Essays on the Gita and
The Synthesis of Yoga, we seek to understand how Nature works in us, the tools she uses for her purpose and the power that can help transcend her limitations.
Our 'journey' will begin from the workings of our outer nature, (using Arjuna's questions from the
Gita and Sri Krishna's explanations to guide us), will wind its way to the Divine Source that supports All.
Arjuna's questions to Sri Krishna are universal and timeless in essence. The
Gita as a true
Shastra (scripture) rises above the times in which it was delivered and is as relevant to the spiritual seeker today as it was in the past ages. Sri Aurobindo's essays and writings on those ancient teachings are invaluable, not only to Integral Yoga practitioners, but to people from all walks of life, regardless of occupation or status.
